Choose Hope 2015.2.1

Success in any endeavor begins with a strong and proven foundation. The family is such; a strong and proven foundation that we can build Christ-centered homes upon.

The structure of families can be diverse and often change as circumstances in life do. But the strong and proven foundation has been set. Though our family may appear out of alignment of where we perceive it should be, or whether it is just where we want it to be, we all have the responsibility to follow the pattern set by the Lord as closely as we can.

Sometimes we as women are called upon to be the leader in the home, sometimes the help meet, sometimes the daughter, sister, care giver. Whatever our role, our mission remains the same: to learn to love the Lord and share that love to strengthen and lift our family and those around us.

But... with each role we as women preform, it is easy to get lost in the 'giving' until even our own deepest reservoirs have been drained dry. When this happens our strong foundation, the family, feels strained and weakened.

During construction all foundations require the use of certain tools to ensure the foundation will bear the weight of the structure it is to support. In the foundation of the family, we as women all need the tools that will help us fill our delicate spiritual reservoirs against the daily stains and pressures this life puts upon us and our families.

This month, let's choose HOPE to help fill our spiritual reservoirs. Filling our own reservoirs with hope will not happen without our concentrated effort to do so. The world is coming at us too hard and fast and will dry up any hope within us that is not nourished daily. We need to open our hearts to hope, to be able to lift ourselves and share that hope with others.

We live at such an amazing time in the history of the world. God has revealed more truths than ever before, along with the technology to bring more of that knowledge to us.  We as women have access to more spiritual knowledge than any other age of women. We have access to books by prophets and apostles that can help us fill our delicate reservoirs with HOPE. There is much in the scriptures to give us hope. There is much to teach us of hope. The Savior stands near and ready to refresh our hope when we ask.

Take the time away from the 'buzyness' of life and strengthen the foundation for your Christ-centered home and family and life by filling your delicate reservoir with HOPE.
