We read in Matthew 6:20-21, But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth or rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through or steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
The treasures you and I are laying up for ourselves in heaven are those treasures we share unselfishly.
No one person has all the treasure. No one person has all the tools. We don't all use the tools we're given at the same speed or in like manor. Yet our treasures always grow when we reach out in love with acts of goodness and kindness to those around us.
As this month progresses take the time to evaluate 'the treasure we are storing up for ourselves in heaven,' as we look around to see where we can share those treasures.
St. Patrick was known for his legacy of love for the Irish people. Let us each be known for the treasures of love in our hearts that we reach out and share with all those around us.
